Happy Fall New Yorkers! It’s one of the most beautiful seasons in the city and a perfect time to reconnect with the Self. As the days become shorter and the leaves change color, we feel transition all around us. Fall is a period of liminality; It’s the “in-betweeny time”. We might not know exactly where we are going, or even how we will get there. That is okay. Sip in the sweet and crisp smell of transformation.
Fall is a time to remember abundance. Like bears, we may find ourselves foraging and storing things for winter. Last week, my partner rolled in a waytoobig flat screen TV for our waytoosmall apartment. I found myself stocking up on sweets. Be tender with yourself while you consider that you may already have exactly what you are searching for. Hint: It’s right there, within you.
These next few weeks, as we experience the Fall equinox, practice yoga that is slow, warm, and grounding.
